New Mercedes SL spy photos
These are the best spy photos, with the new generation Mercedes SL, showing us how the new model will look like: it is clearly that it will borrow CLS’s headlights, because we can observe that they have similar form as those of the CLS Class. The new SL is programmed to be presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2008.

cool...I have always liked the SL
I hope MB does a good job on the refresh
A month ago, I saw an extremely ugly rendering here: http://news.windingroad.com/body-stylesmarket-segment/convertibles/face-lifted-sl-caught-cold-weather-testing/#more-8948
I have high hopes though...

its obvious the big changes are up front. I hope they don't go TOO CLS-esque with the headlights.

On a side note, an SL65 passed me on the highway today, it was beautiful. Sounded nice with a wide open throttle, too.

I think more important is what they are gonna do with the grille. I can see the front lights being okay with the CLS style but the one bar grille so far to me is hideous.

the next generation sl will only have revised front end and rear?

theres really no way to rate learning how to drive a manual. for me, i would rate it at from a 3 to 5. granted, i learned to drive a manual at 14. it takes some time getting used to, but it eventually clicks.

Mercedes was on Mt.Evans, in Colorado, this week testing the SL on the 14,000'+ elevation road. Sounded great. took a few pics too.
