BMW developing new minicar

BMW is purportedly developing its own Mini-sized hatch to compete with similar models in the pipeline from Audi and Volkswagen. The new minicar is rumored to hit the streets towards the end of 2010 and will share its running gear with the current Mini, according to Auto Motor und Sport.

With the new Euro emmision and fuel economy regulations to hit in 2012 this is no surprise.Maybe that's the real reason Porsche has bought in to VW.It will be interesting if they increase their share beyond 31%.I think they will.

okay so there is the 1 series and the mini, from the same mother, and a third child will just make things worse. look at gm with 15 of each car and look where they are heading.
