Study Shows Young Drivers Are The Most Dangerous By Far
While senior drivers are often viewed as a hazard on the road, a new survey shows that young drivers are far more likely to cause accidents.

A study released on Wednesday by non-profit research institute Rand Corporation found that drivers aged 65 and older were one-third as likely as drivers aged 15 to 24 to cause auto accidents.

"By far, it is the youngest drivers who pose the greatest risk to traffic safety," researcher David Loughran, a RAND senior economist and professor at the Pardee RAND Graduate School, said in a statement. cause auto accidents.

Exactly. All you got to do is go with young drivers sometime or watch them and see how they drive. See how other things that happen to them affect their driving ability.

No, using the great formula1 method of philosophy, young drivers are not the most dangerous by far, all people are equally dangerous.

Bad formula.. Young peoples inexperiance and often careless attitudes are much more dangerous. Most allow their current emotional state dictate how aggressive they drive and aggressive driving often leads to accidents.

You'll never look cool in a crash and if you think you do then you should be banned from operating any type of machinery.
When you get older you'll realise that you couldn't drive for shit back then. And bragging that you have gotten into two accidents is not a smart thing to do. My five first years of driving i had two accidents and i blamed the others but looking back i was to blame. More then a decade since then not a single accident and that's something you should be proud of.
Frankly i find insurance co. to be very lenient with young drivers.

I would put up the argument that it is you stupid "my German car can change lanes faster than a Toyota" drivers that cause more accidents.

You can't infer why you and your fellow young road mates drive recklessly formula1?

A) your emotions often dictate your driving style
B) text messaging while driving
C) constantly changing radio stations while driving
D) eating while driving
E) reading the latest issue of Teen People while driving
F) having a complete lack of your surroundings

This should come as no surprise. Insurance companies have known this for years and years and so have we. This "New Study" happens every year it seems.

I tend to think that seniors cause road range and in turn make young people (who get raged the easiest) do stupid things. Life is interconnected.

Their called prisons, and not because you can't take care of yourself but because you don't know how to act.

True. I'm rapidly approaching 70 now but been there done that. Young drivers take more chances like test driving the limits of a car on public roads. Us older guys are more concerned with survival and drive more carefully, especially in NYC, Las Vegas, Edmonton, and Montreal where driving like a maniac is part of the local culture.
