What kind of person drives an exotic car?

SPIDERMAN RETURNS AND SO DO THE AUTO SPIES! I was crusing the town yesterday when I saw some guy driving through La Jolla in a Lamborghini Murcielago and I thought to myself...What kind of person drives one of these?

Seeing you can hardly get over 55MPH anywhere in Southern California, why would anyone buy something like this?

Are they just show-offs?

Are they total losers who couldn't get lucky in a woman's prison with a fist full of pardons?

Or are they real 'playa's' that we should all be impressed with and want to be like?

Well, rather than give you my opinions on this subject, I thought I'd open up the forum and ask our readers to comment and give their thoughts.

So, what kind of person drives an exotic car?

When you see someone driving one of these, what's the first thing that comes to mind?

Buying an exotic (in my opinion) reveals an adult who simply wants a toy. Forget about things like practicality or depreciation --such a person can afford this vehicle to simply have fun. The car does make a statement as seen by all of the thoughts and replies shared in this forum. A person who buys a flashy bold colored ferrocious Lamborgini or Ferrari has spent a lot of money to have fun driving down the street being uncommon and unconservative .
Quite often one notices that the person driving such a car is either a middle aged man perhaps clinging to youth or a pro athlete /celebrity --who might have simply dreamed of this as a child . These folks work hard and are entitled to enjoy their success . Occasionally one even sees a woman driving an exotic and if she actually walked into that store and bought it herself --hats off to her . If some guy bought it for her like a piece of jewelry --chances are she'll probably sell it after she leaves him for a guy driving a truck who was more willing to listen to her feelings .
Those are my miscellanious thoughts - hope they help.

Well my first reactions would be "Those lucky bastards!"

I have no jealousy or hatred towards those drivers rather I wanna be like them in the future, its a sign of success. If they can afford one so be it.

I think its combination of many but mainly to impress others. Why else buy a bright red colored exotic car worth $100 grand which people will look and forget in a second or two.

I think the question should be - "What kind of person look/think/talk about people who drive exotic cars?"

Answer - a person who doesn't have one.

I am exotic in my own world until I look into others.
