We at vcars have been confused by the amount of “men” we see proudly driving motors that are so transparently designed for women. While we would love to know the physiological reasoning behind those purchases, we know where our expertise lie and it certainly isn’t psychology. Consequently we decided to put our heads together and generate a list of feminine cars that we often see the male population of the UK driving.

I never understood the term "girl car". The original and current Mazda MX-5 for example was termed "girl car" when in reality it was an affordable little fun car for both sexes.

you forgot one of the most important luxury vehicles designed for women, Lexus RX330. In the US, about 90% of people that drive this vehicle is women. It is very odd and strange to see a guy drive this car. Just plain weird

atom .. it is uneducated. The Lexus RX330 is mostly driven and bought by women. How many men have you seen drive a lexus RX around? Of the 25 to 30 I see on a daily basis, only about 1 or 2 of them are driven by men. It is just a fact. My friends and I, who are in the business, have been doing research for the last few weeks to gauge the market in chicago on lexus, BMW, audi & mercedes ...

Well I understand if in your market you see many women driving them. Here in New York it is a very good mix. I see a lot of men driving them here. Especially further out Long Island. Many older men driving them (50's - 60's yr olds). I was saying though according to Lexus' research, its is more 50:50 who buys the RX330.

I know it may seem fun to dog Lexus drivers and even though I own a BMW and I love them, I still respect the Lexus. I am a true car fanboy... not a brand fanboy and I know a good design when I see one. So to say the RX330 is a woman's car is a plain, uneducated and unresearched comment.

I do not know the percentage of men to women, but I can tell you that the percentage that hang at a slow speed in the #1 lane on the freeway and tie up traffic is 99%.

cars are in the end JUST cars. i think guys who make an issue about 'girl cars' and 'my car is more manly than yours' just have a BASIC INSECURITY about their own manliness or sexual identity.
