Spy Shots: BMW X5 ‘M’ in the works
These latest spy shots indicate that BMW is working on a new, even higher-performance version of its BMW X5 SUV. Currently, the BMW X5’s range topping engine is a 4.8 liter V8 engine that produces 350 horsepower.

There will be no X5 "M". There will only be a high performance "is" version. C'mon, get with it. These pictures are over a week old!

And I highly doubt it will have the same V12 in the 760. More like an updated V8 or even the V10 from the M5. Or.... they are developing a new engine, perhaps as Admiral said, a 4.4l tt V8 engine.

I think BMW needs to update their V-12, in an industry of major power-players like the S600 & S8, or in the X5's case the ML63, Cherokee SRT-8, & Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Even though I think BMW should outfit the X5 M with a high powered V-8, & not the one found in the M3.
