Acura has the best interior design layouts out of all the Japanese luxury brands, sometimes they just don't use the best of material choices. I would rather see aluminum used throughout their whole lineup, forget wood every one has wood, leave that for grandma and grandpa vechicles.
This will not come close to the new crv that looks good and handles excellent. My girfriend just pick one up with the optional rear scoop/spoiler and although it's no MDX is looks good, and it certainly is not no shit/junk Kia or Hyundai whoever tries to imitate.

That was beyond classic.

The interior looks like it was inspired by a late 90's LS400. The wood surrounding the shifter looks very Infiniti (of today). The center console buttons look very Toyota Camry (latest model).

Basically, it looks like a Kia (Korean Imitatation Autos)

That interior is a mix of everything. It's rubbish. I want personality.

You can not compare this interior to the C Class interior. You must be crazy to even think about it.

Htay they are jumping to conclusions, it's a dependable spacious user friendly vehicle with a minimal depreciation rate. Your mom made a good choice. Oh I forgot, economical too.

seriously, I'd rather see a plain jane interior here. making it look like a "lexus" would be totally out of the question if you are trying to make direct competition w/ the CRV. please take a try at the CRV. it looks boring but the materials and quality are great, however I prefer the older CRVs like my moms and up to 06. shit, theres even a table in the back under the carpet as you take out the tools to fix a spare tire. thts one killer feature!!! and is the also best selling SUV in its class.

Well its nice I guess for the segment it will compete in. Kia has never peaked my interest in the slightest except the C'eed convertible show car. Otherwise just more of the same from the Kia. Will be interesting to see how much of this does make it to production.

wow Agent001 you need to check your info. the Kia Mesa is a Chevy Tahoe competitor, not a CR-V competitor. It is a body on frame, fullsize SUV, not a cute ute.

i might be wrong but isnt this post wrong...the kia mesa is kias full size suv it is no where near a CR-V competitor, thats why it has an interior that looks like that....it seems like a bad time to bring out a full size suv but thats what the Mesa, a full size suv in the mold of a tahoe, or armada

This thing is Ford Expedition in size with a V8. Very far from the CR-V.

Personally bulldogz, I wouldn't buy a wood steering wheel. Unlike the Escalade that no oher wood other than the steering wheel is real. Acura obviously feels it's more important to worry about electronics than wood. Lets be honest if you didn't know from reading that the wood steering wheel on the RL was fake you couldn't tell. Bet you probally taught the Escalade's other wood components were real too right?

Just as Merc is way beyond the reach of Lexus, Lexus is likewise, way beyond Hyundai.

fara, I think merc is by far THE luxury car to have. But I have to take issue about Merc being out of reach of Lexus. I think they are closing the gap. Because they are so strong, it is pushing the companies into a tighter twist of competition,therefore giving us better and better choices in the market.

Hyundai is coming on strong too. Kia is, and will always be, a joke.

Lexus is actually realiable unlike Mercedes! What makes Mercedes so special anyways? I'm tired of all these status whores.
