Cadillacs future lineup, new RWD small sports sedan in the works

Cadillac is hoping to shed its image as a developer of luxury barges by rejuvenating its lineup with the addition of a new entry-level small sporty sedan. The new model, which will be sold in both North America and Europe, will be based on GM’s mid-sized RWD Alpha platform and should arrive on the market by 2011.

The all-new CTS sedan will also be expanded into a full-line range including new wagon and coupe variants, while the STS and DTS models will be dropped in favor of a new high-performance RWD sedan.
