I agree--they did the right thing with the styling, but totally @#$%ed up calling it a 500. Taurus is the most recognizable car name in the U.S. and they should have kept it origionally. At lease they learned from their mistake (well, the new CEO did) and restored the Taurus name. This will sell as much as the other one did

Heritage edition, WTF? We're not talking about a Mustang or Challenger here, its a freakin POS Taurus.

The 500 was a slow seller, why would the exact same car with a different name be any different? And the Taurus X, c'mon. They can't give Freestyles away.

WOW

Another Ford product with Side Vents, I wonder how much HP that engine produces to need all that cooling.

So much Chrome on that vehicle it does not need to be taken to the Custom Shop for any Extra Work

It seems NA automakers are intent on putting Custom Shops out of business by Gluing as much Add-ons as possible to the vehicles from the factory.

Not the same car at all. New engine better handling better look. Not really exciting but a lot better car and not even close to the same.

It looks better but still dull.

It looks nicer now than it ever has. The Sable too... I saw a new black Sable on the street the other day and wasn't sure what it was at first glance. They still need a V8 but otherwise seem to be really nice cars.

From watching the video on another Blog that shows in car video between the Ford 500 & Taurus. You can tell where the engineers did there homework.

This is a very nice family vehicle. Great room, huge trunk, 265HP V-6 and a very reasonable price. Hopefully the Taurus name will bring some shoppers into the showroom.
