What's next for the Touareg?

With the 3-row seating capability based Audi Pikes-Peak on the way for the 07 model year VW won't get caught sleeping...

Looks like they've been good little boys and girls and taken the Spies suggestion that you need a third row seat option in this category and are prepping a stretched Touareg for sometime in the 05-06 model year.

How do we know they need it?

Just ask a VW salesperson how many deals they've lost to the Volvo XC90 because there was no third row seat in the Touareg.

Hi again 001,

Any VW sales consultant losing sales to the Volvo XC90 is not doing so because of the third row seat. He's just not doing a good enough job selling the Touareg, which is far and away the best Luxury SUV in the market place!

The third row seats in all of the Touareg competitors are pretty much useless. Have you ever tried to sit in one?

The third row seats exist because of their marketing folks, and for no other reason.

It's hilarious that these folks will buy the Volvo for "safety" and then put their smallest/youngest kids in the "crush zone" of the car!! Really intelligent that!!
