Photo Rendering: Sixth-Generation VW Golf
The sixth-generation Volkswagen Golf was caught testing in California over the weekend wearing light disguise in the front and rear. With the surfacing of those spy shots of the next Volkswagen Golf, we bring you these photo renderings based on that prototype.

As seen in these photo renderings, the six-generation Volkswagen Golf will get a new front grille and EOS style headlights. In the back, the next Volkswagen Golf will carry over the roofline and glasshouse to save money.

When it goes on sale in late 2008 or early 2009, the Golf will carry over some current engine specs. A new 1.4 liter TSI turbocharger that produces...

It's going to look a bit more different from the MkV version. The spy pics show that.

What's stupid about my statement? This is a small, cute car with a 4 cylinder engine. In other words, a vehicle made for a woman or a child. This car is not large, powerful, or loud enough to suit my interests. It's a chick car. Cute, but not for me.

It looks terribly bland, like the current generation. The current Golf only looks good in GTI trim in my opinion.

Look at the Euro Honda Civic, then look at this.

Sh****? Please compared to what. I dont see to many other hatchbacks around today in the US. And dont talk to me about whats available in Europe. Honda doesnt even bring over a hatchback anymore.

This is a German car and they tend to have conservative lines. Guess what, in 10 years this car will still look good.

Well if the renderings are anything to go by, looks like VW is playing it safe once again with its best seller. Can hardly blame them since the Golf has now sold 25 Million + vehicles in its lifetime making it the second best selling car of all time, even beating VWs own Beetle. It amazes me the sheer stupidity of some people on these sights. News only seems interesting to people on here if it is another Lexus or BMW post where people can b*tc% at each other about whose brand is better. Not everyone can afford these cars or even want these cars....

Actually it drives very well. And the interior feels much more expensive than a Corolla or a Civic. Now I am not sure about its electricals. They may not be as good as its competitions, though my brother's '06 Civic has been unreliable... transmission issues and windows that have not worked twice. All this with 12K on the odometer.
