2009 BMW Z4 spy shots

The 2009 Z4 will have three different choices of engines, and another one more powerful coming after. The first one is a 2.0-litre direct-injection with an output of 185 hp. The second one is a direct-injection 2.5-litre Inline-6 with a power of 231 hp. The third one is a Turbocharged 3.0-litre direct-injection rated at 321 hp.


The M version will be powered by the same 4,0-liter V8 engine used in the M3.

This looks exactly like the Z8/Z9 spy photos shown on this site months ago. What is it a Z4 or the new SL competing Z8 replacement?

Hmm. The TT engine is rated at 321HP which is about what current 335, 535 owners have been suggesting according to their dyno pulls.

A buddy of mine at his shop consistently got a dyno pull of 338, 296 at the wheels.

Over 50 335 owners at e90post have done pulls. Most are in the 270 to 280 RWHP. Even with a super efficiant transmission, my math puts the crank HP over the stated 300.
