Will, because if the Q5 had an interior as gorgeous as this, it would put all other SUV makers out of business. Not even the Mercedes S-class can beat this interior.

Had this car been available on the market 2 months ago, I would have likely leased this vehicle instead of my 3.6 Q7.

I would much, much rather have this than an GL diesel, as fantastic as the GL is overall. This car beats the Cayenne Turbo in sheer engineering excellence and ridiculosity. I think I'll have to check it out when I'm looking for a winter car- this is one winter car that can trash most people's summer cars, including my own, hah.

And when you think diesel engines are associated with "nice" people :D

It still will be more fuel efficient than any other full size SUV available. Except the V6 TDI Q7. And the difference between the two is probably only a few mpg.

Yep, just checked it out. It will get almost the same fuel economy as the Jeep Wrangler with the 3.8 V6 that only makes 205 hp. Your Jeep does even worse according to the EPA. So this Q7 with about double the hp will use no more fuel, and will be cleaner. Ouch.

Aww, you're just jealous. I know it's overwhelming for you to see an SUV that is not only ultra-luxurious and beautiful and fast, but one that gets acceptable mileage besides, and isn't produced by Lexus. It'll be okay.

If you need more cylinders, find an old Rolls-Royce Merlin aircraft engine. I believe it had 24 cylinders and I had a chance to buy a brand new one in a crate for $50 half a century ago. I was in my late teens living with my parents and had no place to store it.

Here is a message for all Audi lovers on this website and others, send e-mails to Audi in Auburn Hills, and let them know that we want, we need this Q7 here in the US. Same applies for the S3, the Allroad and everything else that you can think of that we are missing here in the US.

But that is besides the point that this is the most amazing SUV on the planet right now.

If you think this diesel SUV is too race inspired, there will also be the 2.0 liter TDI for the VW Tiguan and possibly, an upcoming Q-3; a 3.0 V-6 for the Q-7 TDI and the VW Touareg TDI; a 3.0 V-6 for the Mercedes-Benz R320 BlueTec, ML320 BlueTec, GL320 BlueTec, and a Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD. BMW will probably offer their new 3.0 V-6 diesel for the X-5. All will be here by the end of 2008. Hyundai Veracruz with a 3.0 V-6 diesel by 2010.

I'm not personally amazed with the V-12 TDI, because it doesn't amaze me that Americans still believe that we should all have the right to buy race cars no matter how much we pollute the air, promote climate change, and use foreign oil to support terrorism.
