Mercedes SLC Test Mule Spied in the Desert

Here is a set of photos of a test mule for the Mercedes SLC, being prepared for desert testing by a group of AMG engineers. These partially-covered shots are the product of a 12-hour stakeout, in which the hoped-for test-drive never materialized. Instead, the engineers simply readied the prototype for testing, while taking great care to keep the test mule covered as much as possible. It wasn’t until late afternoon that the final steps required a quick peek under the hood, finally revealing the car’s front fascia and fenders

I don't think anyone's doubting that it will look spectacular, but what about its performance? How well will this car fair without McLaren? Jeremy Clarkson called the SLR the "Viper of the Mercedes line-up." Will the SLC be more of a hard-edged true supercar?

The rear end on the test mule is from a viper. Makes sense though

Damn you "Error Accessing this Page"!!!!! I cant wait for this car to come out. Built entirety by AMG - No McLaren! I'm sure it will be a beast and probably a way better performer than the SLR.
