VW to introduce Golf BlueMotion at Frankfurt

Volkswagen will be using next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show to debut the first BlueMotion version of its popular Golf hatch, which will star alongside five other BlueMotion cars planned for the show. BlueMotion is VW’s title for its ultra-efficient diesel range, which combines not only a fuel-sipping diesel engine but several other fuel-saving technologies as well.

18843.jpgThe new Golf BlueMotion consumes just 4.5L of diesel per 100km, equating to a hybrid rivaling 52mpg fuel consumption figure. At this rate, carbon-dioxide emissions levels stand at just 119g/km and a single tank will take you over 745miles (1,200km).

Nice vechicle for Europe but very underpowered for USA market.
Now they could make a more powerful version but I don't see them making that anytime soon.
