Kia SUV MESA to be introduced to China next year

South Korean automaker Kia Motors will launch a SUV model globally next year and this model will be introduced to the Chinese market late 2008, according to sources from the company.

The Mesa is really going to be an interesting product. As many consumers like the Santa Fe for its modest pricing with BIG utility, the Mesa will mostlikely trump GM and Toyota on pricing for a large SUV in the US market. I expect this vehicle to steal market share immediately. The rust belt consumers are going to love this product.

Looks like an FJ Cruiser. And I'm not too sure about it undercutting the Japanese and especially the AMERICAN SUVs. This over a Tahoe or 4Runner? Don't hold your breath.
