AutoSpies.com scoops Car and Driver by TWO YEARS!

Car and Driver surprised at Maybach influence and iDrive coming to the next S-class

Every month I pick up one of these magazines and realize they just become less and less relevant with the advent of sites like ours and others.

In the latest Car and Driver they have a 'Hot' article on the next S-class.

Their exact words are... 'From the spy shots it is clear that the rear end has a Maybach influence' and they also mention it will have an iDrive like device.

HELLO!!!!!!

We told the world that TWO YEARS ago!

If you really want to find out about what it will REALLY be like, I suggest you re-read our report.

And we can guarantee you, it will be the most stunning luxury sedan on the planet, bar none.

One last tip on the next S...it shows up next September in Frankfurt.

Agree Car and Driver is late with this news but you see they have to finalize an edition almost two years in advance so that there is time for printing and distribution!

Seriously though with the exception of AutoSpies most coverage in the US media is very lazy - Car and Drivel is just one magazine of several that are pathetic. The better mags are in the UK and Germany - but their subscription rates are much higher than the 50 cents an issue I pay for "Car and Drivel".

My favorite mags are Car Magazine (UK) and Automotive News (both US and Europe editions)

While I'm ranting about lazy US magazines such as "Car and Drivel" and "Rode and Trick", why do they love Porsche so much. All Porsche has to do is change the design of the cupholders and the US mags all want to run out and do new comparison tests. I understand this may be fun for the reporters - but hardly earthshattering for the readers.
