Officially Official: 2008 Infiniti EX unveiled in Europe
We just reported yesterday that Infiniti will reveal the production version of the EX concept at the 2007 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. Well Nissan has just revealed the European press release along with images, so you won’t have to wait until this weekend to see it.

The 2008 Infiniti EX is powered by a VQ35HR 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 290 horsepower. It is matted with a 5-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, DS sport mode with Downshift Rev Matching (DRM), and Adaptive Shift Control.

On the inside of the 2008 Infiniti EX, drivers will find a instrument panel that features a 7-inch color display including the available Hard Disk based Navigation System with 9.3GB Music Box hard drive for music storage and playback. Other features include Bluetooth, standard Infiniti Intelligent Key with Push Button Ignition, RearView Camera, front and rear parking sensors, Intelligent Cruise Control and Bose Premium Audio System with 11 speakers including 2 subwoofers, 6CD in-dash changer and iPod connectivity.

The 2008 Infiniti EX will go on sale in Europe starting from Autumn 2008 with the G35, G37 and a successor to the FX. U.S. availability will be announced later.

Looks very good inside and out.Nice addition to the Infiniti Line-Up.This also shows that New FX will grow in size and will be more practicle(as many complained).

The link u gave is Nissan Arabia(Middle East)

New VQ37HR 3.7-liter V6 engine was also first released in Middle East in the 2007 G35 Sedan producing 330BHP.

And according to this link, ES is also first showed in an Arabian Site and (shortly in Magazine covers)

Can somebody explain this Special Nissan-Middle East releationship to me?I am exited

Good to see all this happening, because i live in Dubai and (because of New G Series and this New EX Crossover) Infiniti is fast becoming my favourite brand.

I have got to say I am surprisingly impressed.
I would take this hands down over a x3 or RDX. Nicely done interior, they did a good job keeping it close to concept

I still would of liked to see real exterior pics of the actual car..but I'm impressed by the interior..it stayed pretty close to the concpet..even has a leather stitched cowl over the gauge cluster.

yawn

can the exterior be more bland and nondescript

slap anyone else's logo on that sucker and it can pass for a hyundai, kia, toyota, whatever

very nice interior though

not sure about the wood/faux wood.....could be the photos...would have to see it in person

This looks very, very good. It's very close to the concept. But still- too close to the FX35! Now they need to redesign it.

I noticed the same thing. I am not too big a fan of this EX. I prefer the muscular/chiselled look of the FX over this EX.

Just really not a big fan of the swoopy lines.... they actually distract from the form and shape of the car and are NOT complimentary, in my opinion.

Well they definitely need a new FX (35 anyway), because this is better in every respect.

Just based on looks, it's top of its class. I'll be interested to see the pricing. And how long it holds. RDX seemed to discount heavily fairly quickly.

"Well they definitely need a new FX (35 anyway), because this is better in every respect."

Definitely is a matter of opinion because, in MY opinion, they need to study their FX design better and realize how to make it look more like THAT for the EX's model refresh/redesign.

Acura doesn't put out adds on papaer for their cars and suvs discounts. when u got to buy their cars they will offer you with big discount up front, before you make an offer. that was my experience.
If Infiniti price this suv correct, they will kill RDX, like M to RL

MB need to go back to drawing board, ooops tghey can't for another 10 years with their GLK

and the new FX is going to be a FX37

this car is pretty ugly if you ask me....the headlights are like the Mercedes R-Class and the rear lights are like the SUBARU TRIBECA...http://images.leftlanenews.com/content/2-2008-subaru-tribeca.jpg

Very nice job, instead of a G wagnon they take a little from the FX and G and out comes this smaller crossover. I like the whole package, we have a FX now but when we trade-in it will be on this model.

Nobody replied (to my first comment) to what i felt that all new Inifnti's are first seen and launched in Middle East(In their showrooms or in their sites or in their magazine covers).

Anybody have anything to add. especially M53R

I wish I knew too; that is interesting. I would have thought North America would be the first to know.

I live in Canada so I couldn't help you but would if I could.

Yes I did notice that too. But I have no idea why that is. They offered the G35 with the new 3.7l V6 here before North America. Nissa/Infinite seems interested in the UAE all of a sudden.... it wasnt like this before.

Dubai> Is home to everything new and even over the top as you know(JUGNU). Infiniti is a fresh car line of sleek machines that your part of the world will like very much. Modern and fast with a great dealer network i can't see any reason why Nissan Corp won't do very well there.IF Infiniti can now come up with a world class super luxury car they will have made the complete circle of auto's for everyone and their budget. take care

If truly true, then your taste appears to deviate completely from the mainstream. The interior is gorgeous, if a bit too oriental-looking, but the instrument panel really grabs me in a positive way. I know my wife would agree to buying it but will it arrive before May 2008 when my current A6 Quattro lease expires?

Looks really nice. That interior looks incredible. That light cream interior and steering wheel are simply gorgeous. The around car camera feature is unique. Good amount of power for this little CUV as well. This just may be my next vehicle purchase.

Holy **** this thing actually looks good. After all those decades of copying major design elements from other premium manufactures they have finally found their mojo? Well, no. This is certainly a huge improvement, much like the Lexus IS did for Lexus.
And the back still looks far too American for my taste, what's up with all that hideous chrome around the license plate holder?

But again, I genuinely like the design of this EX. Don't like the name however, sounds too much like AMG Mercs and Lexus nomenclature. Owh, and the interior is still rubbish by the way. The instruments look ridiculous and totally out of place in a so-called "premium" vehicle, the wood is disgusting and looks like it came from the same plastic tree they make cars from in the US and there are still so many ugly plastic buttons..

Not quite there yet, but I see hope.

I would definitely buy this over the Lexus RX - which is just horrid - but not over the upcoming Q5 or GLK.

Hmmm.. I'm really getting serious afterthoughts about the back of this car.. something doesn't look right.

Aah here I found it:
compare the back of the EX with this
