Spy Shots: Audi RS6 Avant at the Nurburgring

Our friends over at CarMagazine have caught the Audi RS6 doing high-speed testing at the Nurburgring. The Audi RS6 is expected to be powered by a 5.2 liter V10 engine that produces 530 horsepower, well over BMW M5’s 500 horses and Mercedes E63 estate’s 514 horsepower.

ya pretty well documented everywhere that it's 571...

actually i saw the IS-F line up right next to the rs6 at the ring. and when the rs6 took off, the is-f fell over...b/c it was just a sheet of paper.

i was going to say it just magically vanished b/c it's all the riceboy's hopes and dreams...i think they both work.

I belief the Audi RS6 suppose to have 570hp instead of 530hp. There an article stating how hp it suppose had posted here last month.

And please keep on the topic, this Audi RS6 does not compete with Lexus IS-F. I belief it will compete with Lexus GS-F with 550+ hp when it come out.

Notice how the bottom of each headlight is covered by a thin black strip of tape. I believe that signifies an LED strip at the bottom of the lights, similar to the A5/S5.

580 hp and nothing new here, except what look like the real RS4 wheels

in other Audi news, there will be a teaser (maybe more) released of the new A4 on Aug 28th. And it will debut at the Frankfurt auto show.

I like Audis, but i don't find this RS6 attractive at all.
Then again, I prefer them in darker colors.
But my wife's 2001 A6 avant, with Eibach springs and 17" RS6 5-spoke wheels (and dark tint) looks a lot better.

This new model looks so bland .... it could be a Toyota!
