Is this the future of the driver/auto interface?

This is the concept interpretation presented by Lexus in the LF-C concept (The next IS).

Wouldn't it be cool if they could put the translucent icons in to the final version (not likely)?

Where should the driver/auto interface evovle into in your opinion?

You can tell who the serious drivers are around here. They are the ones who care about driving dynamics and all the things you NEED for the SPORT OF DRIVING. Maybe it's me...but I don't need pretty blue things glowing in my car to distract me while I'm driving. Come on...yes it looks all 'purty an 'evry thang' but do you really need it. Really...if all you really care about is cosmetics...and that's the only thing that entices you to buy the car...then yes..the Japanese have won hands down. Forgive me for saying...but I'll leave all the glitz and glamour for downtown Japan or Times Square in NY
