2008 Mini John Cooper Works Challenge car

BMW released the details of the new works racer last week and we can now reveal the look as well as the substance behind the 2008 Mini Challenge race car. The 154Kw John Cooper Works engine remains but this time around the forced induction is via a turbo-charger rather than the previous super-charger.

According to Road and Track the Mini Cooper S does 0-60mph in 6.2 sec. and this more powerful Mini only does 0-100kph in 6.1 sec.?

Anyways, a really nice looking car.

I'm glad that Mini dumped the dreaded CVT in favor of a conventional automatic but they should have retained the supercharger insteead of trying to save a few bucks by going the turbo route.
