SUBARU RULES "X" GAMES

Travis Pastrana/Christian Edstrom finished first in X Games 12’s rally event – the first one for X Games.



Subaru Rally Team USA participated in ESPN’s X Games 12 in early August. Drivers/co-drivers Travis Pastrana/Christian Edstrom and Ken Block/Alex Gelsomino joined 10 other teams in Los Angeles to be part of the first-ever rally event in X Games’ schedule of extreme sports.

The choice was appropriate. Going into X Games Rally, the team of Pastrana/Edstrom led the Rally America series in points for the season, with Block/Gelsomino tied with Andrew Pinker/Robbie Durant for second. Pinker/Durant were also X Games Rally participants.

Subaru has an excellent drivetrain but has a really stupid element to its design, namely frameless side windows. All side glass should be guided with proper frames on doors to prevent air leaks. It's a safety hazard to have to reach over at high speed to pull a window inward so it will seal properly when trying to close an open window at high speed.
