New 2006 Infiniti M45 pictures

The Infiniti M45 Concept vehicle provides a glimpse into not only the next generation M45 sedan, but also the future design direction of Infiniti. This car captures the essence of the current Infiniti M45, offering elegance, distinction and driving pleasure, while advancing its already high levels of sensuous style, engaging technology and driving excitement.

The M45 Concept optimizes both luxury and sport styling for dynamic visual appeal. The exterior features a low, aggressive hoodline, which flows into anchored shoulders and contributes to the sporty, powerful silhouette. The interior is highly expressive, combining a driver-oriented cockpit with an Infiniti level of luxury and design detail.

The heart of this car is the high-performance 4.5-liter DOHC V8 engine currently used in the Infiniti Q45, M45 and FX45, but here it produces 340 horsepower and is mated to a 5-speed automatic transmission with short-throw performance shifter and manual shift mode.

Advanced technology abounds, including a new Rear Active Steer suspension system that adjusts the geometry of the rear according to steering input and vehicle speed, and a new Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system.

The M45 Concept provides a blueprint for the upcoming 2006 Infiniti M45, which is scheduled for spring 2005.

I love this car. The tails, I think are a little overdone and the grill has one chrome strip too many at the very top, but this car is a winner. Browse the Infiniti site and have a look at this car in motion. The flash demo really makes the car look great. Infiniti has made it no secret that they are going after BMW sales, looks are subjective, but other than the side profile, this car appeals to me much more than the new 5 series. I want to love the new 5 as I am a real BMW fan, but it just doesn't do it for me. Now if only Infiniti would see the light and offer this thing with a proper tranny (one with 6 manual gears ;-) I would be sold. I will not buy a "sports sedan" without a stick......
