$1.6 Million Lambo has been sold out before Frankfurt debut

We reported last week that Lamborghini is planning on unveiling a $1.5 million supercar at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. While that never happened, internet chat forums are now buzzing word that a $1.6 million Lamborghini flagship will be on display at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

One possible reason: Lambo's bleeding cash.

Audi does not own Lambo (or Bentley or Bugatti for that matter), it is also a sister subsidiary of Volkswagen AG, whose biggest owner is Porsche.

wrong Audi bought lambo and VW owns Audi and porsche ownes about 1/3 of VW

the reason Audi would sell lambo is so they can develop the R series cars with no issues with lambo

Actually, Audi does own Lambo, but VW owns Audi. In that sense Lambo, Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Skoda, Seat are all part of VW group of Companies, but Lambo has direct ties with Audi not with VW or any other part of the company. Also, Lamborghini is not bleeding money. It had been fore decades and after the Audi takeover, it has been turned around. Lambo is now a profitable little company :)

all i want to know is where are the heck are the pictures of this $1.6m lambo that is inspired by the latest f-22 rapture?

the reason i prefer lambo over ferrari is that very reason: they are shaped like jet fighters. cant say i dont love the fluidity in the design for ferraris though, but lambo ftw.

It sounds like since the Bugatti Veyron sales are not going so well, that they are trying to make the most out of that tooling?

Let me guess, it will have a W-16, all-wheel drive, and it will go 200MPH?

Could this be a page out of VW's platform sharing strategy ala... A8=Phaeton=Flying Spur; Gallardo=R8; Golf=A3=TT, etc......
