I see this as a marketing gimmick to suck extra money out of your wallet by offering little true incremental value at high incremental cost. Save your money and buy a vehicle that is desirable in standard form without having to pay extra for blackmail marketing items.

This car is plain ugly in/out, no matter what edition they come up with.

All the "new" features they listed are standard/available on the standard 7 Series.

This is a nice example of bmw striving for excellence. Although I still see it nowhere near the level of the Audi A8 in terms of interior clasiness and modern technology. The wood trim looks nice, and it seems as though thats the main focus for "high end" but it leaves the term on a low end...

The dashboard looks like it came out of a boat.

Yes, very similar to a teak deck. Rolls-Royce Drophead has it too.

Overall, this is nothing special. The 7 Series is on life support at the moment.

*yawns* This article was pretty boring. All of these options sound like it was already offered on the current 7 series. I guess they are trying to squeeze the last few sales out of the E65 body until the new one comes out.

Uhuh, yeah, sure. The 7 Series hasn't won any comparison tests, period. It hasn't won any awards, for anything. It has been trampled by the Mercedes S-Class, Audi A8 and Lexus LS in every respect. Good luck trying to keep that up.

BTW, I do something where I make a lot more than you do, okay?

amazinBimmer keep dreaming....the BMW 7-series interior and luxury feel is about as prestigious as a Kia Rio.

No wonder the BMW 7-series routinely loses to Audi's A8 and obviously the Mercedes S-class in this segment. The Audi A8 has demolished the so-called "luxury" sedan from BMW in just about every comparison test done between them. The S-class makes an even bigger mockery of the brilliant driving dynamics but luxury that can be found in a Chrysler 7-series.

Your amazing handling, lack of luxury, spartan so called "luxury" sedan is getting its ass handed to it by the Mercedes S-class which is clearly king of this segment.

Amazing ride quality with acceptable dynamics and monsterous acceleration/ torque combined with a BMW 7-series derived interior that has moved a lot more upscale in terms of its materials along with a better layout in terms of ergonomics and the 7-series is finished against the S-class.

The S-Class looks nothing like a 7 Series. Why don't you take a break from the crack?

What Mercedes has done amazinLiar is taken the BMW concept and just improved it in every which way. First offering an improved COMAND system. Second, Mercedes made an actual luxury interior and lastly, they gave it the AMG treatment to stomp all over even an Alpina B7 in S65 AMG form.

I know amazinLiar your circle is that of autofans that only post lies. Nobody would ever take that circle seriously, after all it is made up of untrue facts about Audi.

In my circle, which happens to be the circle of reality, my VW has constantly smashes your 7-series in just about every comparison test.

How does that feel getting routinely crushes and made a mockery of by a VW amazinLiar????

:)
