Plans for a mid-engine Corvette have been in discussion at GM since the 1960s and are now heating up once again. But according to sources at InsideLine, a mid-engine Corvette is a long way from seeing the light of day.

I still say that they should move forward with this car with versions for Pontiac and Cadillac.

This is ridiculous. The Vette is already the best bang-for-the-buck on the market right now, with over 400hp in its standard form. I don't think it needs to get much faster, only more polished. Especially not the Z06!
