Toyota Tundra Bed Bounce

If this owners have to complain with a Tundra, then they are pretty well off.

The Titan has the same type of frame as the F150. I bet it would look the same as the F150!

I guess you can't expect too much from a company that is more concerned about profit than building good cars.

the frame is a design choice. Toyota merely chose to bounce your cargo a bit more than others.

When did GM start making Tundras? You obviously have no clue what you're talking about. Go waste space on some other forum.

What Ford neglects to mention is that the Tundra frame is made completely differently than everyone else. The frame strength has been optimized for a better ride with payload or trailer(which every owner can attest to). Rather than looking at the bed (which ford tells us to) take a peek at the cab.

One of these days, I'm going to have to become more web-savvy, and learn how to create my own entries. Then I too could find one mfr, I dont know, say BMW, and find every negative article, blog entry and post in all of cyberland, and post it up here on Germanspies as news.

I love this clan of Toyota fans that can't except the fact the Toyota is capable of making mistake. Blind loyalty will eventually lead to a worse product, items like this help Toyota more than hurt it. To the fan base Toyota is perfect. How about some rational thinking.

What I can't understand is why Toyota fan's hate BMW. it seems to be the first car-maker they lash out against. I'm, big fan of BMW and Toyota, but I realize neither make a perfect vehicle and neither ever will.

I dont hate BMW, I own a MINI. And I dont accept everything Toyota sends out as a gift from the gods. I am responding to the blind hatred of Toyotas, the venom that is spewed forth on this site, contrasting that with the blind aherence to anyhing that has a propellor on its hood.

Mini is not a BMW. BMW is just the parent company. Good try though.

I am surprised you haven't realized by now- there are just as many Lexus-lovers as there are BMW fans. You're not in the minority. There may even be more.

I try to take the middle ground, but if a Toylex fan bashes BMW/Audi/Merc, I'd sooner defend the German brand than agree with them.

It's like, I'm interested in all new luxury cars. I'm a CAR fan. I try not to think of the badge, but the product it's attached to. It's more the fanboys that make me seem biased.

Good tests showing the Tundra's weak points and I'm sure Toyota will fix those. But one very important thing is forgotten here, through out all of Ford's history ONLY the new model F150 got a stable and strong frame, before this model the crash results and other test results like these were horrible. Also, the first Tundra that came out bypassed all of its competitors in crash tests and frame stability, this is just a 2nd generation Tundra that got much bigger and they messed up on the frame side.

In short, the new Tundra is still taking Ford's market and it will be enhanced further until it dominates all of the tucking market, just like its other car segments did.

So, instead of Ford bragging about their F150's frame, they should be fixing their other major problems.

Also another note, the comparison was made by 4 door truck to a long bed extended cab Tundra, the extended cab Tundra is lighter than the 4 door F150/Silverado, they should've compared against a 4 door Tundra, why didn't they do that? so the measurements be as seen, which are invalid.

Has anybody driven beside an F-150 lately and noticed how badly their beds shake? Every auto has issues, none are perfect. Some are close.......but that's about as far they get.

Why does that video look in a way computer simulated? anyone else notice that?

I saw the cutaway view of the 2007 Toytie truck before it went into production at the Chicago Auto(I got dragged through there from the people I was with ) The biggest thing that stuck me was the downsized diecast aluminum rearend housing and how small it is compared to the competition I dont' know how they got that ring gear into that little housing that they were showing in their commecials . Now ,adding this all up when you have such all small ammount of unsprung weight , why is there so much harmonics being transmitted to the box and consequently , the drivers compartment . I would make any difference if this was a short cab, long box, or long cab, short box or, anything between those models . There has to be something that is that is transmmiting those forces to the box/cab area or some component in the rear suspension that is not doing it's job .
