Japan Report: Honda’s New Fit Will Be Longer, Wider

News has filtered out about the new Honda Fit, and we have an inside scoop. The company
created a smash hit when it unveiled the Fit back in summer 2001, with the compact, stylish,
good-to-drive, well finished, smartly packaged and above all, super economical Fit (also
known as the Jazz) flying off dealer lots.

Six years on, the Fit is still one of the best cars you can buy in Japan (and some might say
America, too). Even so, the countdown has now begun in earnest for Fit version 2.0.A source who has seen the next Fit says it is basically an evolution, albeit a coolly presented one which improves on the current package in every logical way.

The new Fit is 2 inches longer and an inch wider, thus giving it more space, but still keeping that sleek swept-back silhouette which the Japanese like to call “one motion form.”

I'm pretty sure Honda has a car that fits this size already, ummmmm....Civic?

Oh, I forget, it's a Honda, I have to give them a pass, like the media does. It's more roomy, spacious, more leg room, head room, ego room.
