The Audi R8 is victorious yet again. This time in Autobild

So the Audi R8, fresh off a victory against the Porsche 911 C4s, Aston Martin ProDrive and BMW M6 in Evo Magazine was put to the test yet again. This time Autobild was the magazine. The results, however, were no different from Evo.

The Audi R8 was hailed victor yet again. This time the R8 was tested against the Porsche 911 4S, Corvette coupe and Jaguar XKR.

From its looks, to its high-revving V8 engine, to its composure, balance, acceleration and ability to combine all that makes a sports car great into one seemless package the Audi R8 is no question a new leader along with Porsche in the sports car stakes.

Ladies and gentleman this is at least the 4th test where Audi's R8 has taken down a Porsche 911 C4s or 4s. EVO, Autobild, Motortrend and I believe one or two more magazine tests have all concluded that the Audi R8 is indeed superior to the Porsche.

It is incredible that finally we have a car that is seen as a worthy alternative to the iconic Porsche 911.

I'm not surprised but it is nice to hear that many of the major magazines agree on the obvious. Bring on the V10 ... 911 Turbo, Viper, Lambo, Ferrari, Aston comparisons are coming!

I might be saying a few wrong things here but I believe the R8 has a new Audi chassis, magnetic ride suspension, V8 engine, design, ceremic brakes...ya you're right, def rebadged...

i agree not much engineering involved when you rebadge other cars.. Auto spies is important because it give alot of these partisan audi fans a chance to praise themselves, because few people in American society notice Audi, the average american does not even know Audi.

And this is where you are ignorant...
1/2 Audi sold World Wide is actually Quattro with 85% of the Audis sold in the U.S being also Quattro.

Larry, the U.S. is not the entire world.

Your obviously sheltered because you didn't hear the report that China will become the biggest car market in the world within the next 8 years. Guess who leads that market by a huge amount and the gap is growing every year.....

this year over 1 million people will buy Audis around the world. A lot more than Lexus or Infiniti and even more than Mercedes-Benz.

BenzW124 its obviously better to have a VW rebadged Lambo than anything BMW. After all, Lambo is a competitor to Ferrari can't say that about BMW.

The U.S. is and will remain the most important auto market for a long time for the simple fact that cart makers make the vast majority of their profit on high end higly featured cars of the type sold primarily in the U.S. and little or nothing on the lower end of the range, which is most of what they sell in China.

In addtion, GM has passed VW to be the largest seller in China. In addtion, most analysts believe that as soon as the U.S. passes national health care the Germans will start to move their plants to the U.S. as this is their most impotant market by far which will then be the most economical for them to operate production facilities in.
