Chevy Malibu ads will aim at Camry, Accord

Because the Malibu was designed at the same time the new Accord was designed.

Com'on the new accord is just a rearrangement of plastics and metals and nothing nothing new from the current accord.

Honda thinks they have to change the look every 3 1/2 years to keep up with Lexus.

The Malibu is an all new design.

Accord will just eat up sales of camry, and Malibu is a fantastic car to drive: quite powerful, but the interior materials are just second class. I never liked camry, and if Malibus are to get some credibility in this segment, then the new generation should have great interior. The malibu V6 that i had rented also had a very stiff chasis but the ride was somewhat jerky and the engine is not as smooth. But that car was much more fun to drive than to be driven in compared to camrys. The new accord looks like the leading car in terms of styling beauty and reliability.

GM's VP says it all with the Malibu, if he feels i wont be as popular as the camry or accord. then it just wont be. if him as VP of GM feels the accord and camry out-due the malibu, then it will fail in actually biting into those numbers.

the malibu will still hold its own in the rental car segment...it's really its only place of worthiness!

1-Series and MINI are beter bets in this class. GM will die soon, just like the Japanese.

The Carmy is better at everything than this wannabe green car. American cars just don't cut it. They never have. Japanese cars, especially Toyota, have always been the best at everything. You guys should see how the AE86 outhandled overpriced sports cars like a Porsche 911 or Lamborghini Gallardo on the Nurnbergring!

Just remember, the Corolla and Camry is the heart and sole of Toyota.

I really doubt the Malibu will even compete with either one, it will most likely follow its predecessor's foot steps.

GM is tired they can join Hyundai and make there stupid comparison commercials, but they will never see Honda or Toyota for that matter.

AT least the Malibu won't have to have it's tranny fluid changed every 30K miles like the Honda does
