New Pics of 2008 Land Cruiser

Another look at the new Land Cruiser - this vehicle will definitly turn some heads. Just picture it with a roof rack and a brush guard and you've got a winner. Not to mention the fact that if you don't like the design now, it's got 9 or 10 years to grow on you! If that's not enough, what's the reliability/piece of mind worth???

This is the ugliest thing I have seen in a long time...

seriously! It's as though they tried to make it ugly. I really like the current one. It's a great car that doesn't try to be anything that it's not. Land Cruiser's are awesome....but not this one.

I still love the one's from the 90's. Gimme a 40th Anniversary model, please.

I can't wait until the Lexus guys try to convince me that the Lexus version is attractive.

If that new Land Cruiser is ugly then it's not ugly enough for me. I suppose you think that the FJ Cruiser (my favorite Toyota) is even uglier.

Nice interior. Front end is blah, nothing extraordinary. But that back end is hideous...

They buy them because they are reliable, luxurious and (for probably only 3-4% of buyers) extremely off-road capable.

And, believe it or not, the fact that it wears a Toyota badge and isnt all that good looking is a POSITIVE to its buyers. They don't want to flaunt a flashy car like MB/Lexus.

It's a shame that it's reputation in the states has come to this. No, its not attractive, but, if used for what its REALLY made for, its a great truck. A real SUV. The only true alternative to an LR3.

Why? The QX is butt-ugly, overweight and underperforming. If I wanted an Infiniti I'd get a G37, FX45, M45, even an EX35. But QX56 is at the bottom of the heap- REDESIGN, please.

If I wanted a large SUV, I'd get a GL. I just don't know which one. GL320 CDI is obviously the most efficient, and GL550 is the most fun. GL450 is a good combination of both.

Ahh, who am I kidding? I'm a bad boy. GL550 for me, please. Black over black.

Ah Mclaren, that was the point I made...it's a true off roader.

i actually own an 03 landcruiser and my dad owns an 06 LX470, although they look alike, they are totaly different cars to drive... and they just feel different... about the styling, i just came to the conclusion along with many other landcruiser owners and fans that the LC is just not a car you admire at first sight, it seems to be that the LC is a car designed for the future not the present, coz every model which came out from the FZJ80 till the new one (FZJ130 i believe), looked terrible when they came out but slowly grew on the public and started selling and continuing the legend of the grandfather :p. I just believe if you give it time, its gonna grow on you, trust me!

Where's the Mitsubishi logo?
Looks like a rip off of the ugly Montero design.

Isn't the landcruiser intended for off road use? This is a princess! Lets hope it has a stronger frame than the new fj! Toyota is slipping!

Off road worthy! Mclarensmps? All those vehicles that you mentioned are not that worthy off road either! An All wheel drive mini van could keep up to this! The old fj with the solid axles gained the reputation of being tough and capable! The new Toyota 4x4s unjustly ride on the older toyotas reputations as off road machines! I am not opposed to independant suspension if it is done right, it is just that nobody has made any IFS suspensions worthy from any manufacturer!
