Lexus may suspend local production in China

Lexus, Made in China :(

Read the article. Because of possible quality concerns, Lexus does not want to produce cars there, even though it would be hugely profitable to do so.
I wish other premium makers would have the same concern about there product.

I think Toyota and Lexus worry that the Chinese will copy or a make an identical Lexus LS and sale it for cheaper. And instead of using Lexus LS600hl, they will probably uses "Alex CS009LH."

We all know how the Chinese like to steal design from other success car like BMW, Lexus, Audi and MB. Isn't there an article posted yesterday that BMW is taking legal action against Chinese automaker?

Agreed. Something needs to be done about the quality control system in China. All the recent recalls over lead use in products just scares me.

Apparently, Audi Mercedes and BMW have been producing Cars in China for years, especially Audi. i haven't heard there are any big quality problems. and you cant really tell the quality difference from the European ones either.
so why does Lexus Worry so much?

and i m only talking about the brands like BMW and Audi. not some other Cheap Ones... ...so What i mean is that the Chinese automakers do have the ability to build high quality cars. it just depends on how they are going to build and the ... Money.

i was intrigued by the line that they get over $200,000 in china for the ls600hl which only costs $110,000 in the u.s.

AND, that there are lexus models which cost even MORE???
