Toyota meets Aston meets Shelby with the new Supra? First photo

In typical Japanese auto manufacturer fashion, Toyota takes a stab at duplicating a combo the Aston DB-9 and Shelby Cobra concept...

Is it hot or not?

Do you want one?

Will it sell?

We'd love to hear your opinions below

I too agree with "BlackBuzzard". The current Lexus SC430 model has been and still is UGLEEE! Lexus could have cosmetically raised the rear deck as in the G35, Supra, etc. At a small price Lexus could have increased SC430 sales drastically. Even though they claim they're going to produce industry leading designs, I haven't yet seen Toyota/Lexus produce what I would refer to as exciting designs. Even the new GS design is a conservative upgrade to the current model that has blessed showrooms for going onto eight years. Thank you Lexus; it keeps my 2000 GS400 value up. So, if the above pictures are fair representations of a new Supra or a new Lexus Sport Coupe, I would be shocked and positively impressed.

I'll take two, one silver and one black please

This is the best looking Toyota ever, if it drives like it looks it will SELL big time.

But Since Toyota, and for that matter Lexus is so conservative, I doubt this will be even close to the real thing, they come with nice looking concepts (Lexus LF-S, LF-C, HPX etc.), but the final product has been way of the concepts

The new Supra will sell but if it is to be a big seller it has to be priced right. Is it going against the NSX or the 350Z? All I can say is the performance had better be as good as the price or Toyota will see what kiiled the old Supra again: A Better used car than new.

Let's see. Supras are the highest performance cars ever made by Toyota. And, Toyota is the best, most reliable auto maker. So, of course I'm going to get one. I have had two supras already, a third generation '86 1/2 and a MKIV '95 and loved them both dearly. So I plan to have one of the FIRST new Supras. I have the hook-up at Toyota as well and my name is first on the list. And for need4speed's comment about the back looking like a Mitsubishi Eclipse. I can see that a little, but I can guarantee that is all they have in common. That eclipse will get smoked by this supra every time, and it will fall apart 20 years before the Supra does. So please refrain from ever comparing a fucking Mitsubishi with a Supra, because Mitsubishi's are a joke.
