Renault going to buy Volvo? Ghosn says no

Renault-Nissan CEO Carlos Ghosn has revealed that he has no interest in acquiring the Volvo unit from Ford, despite having wishes to form an alliance with an additional carmaker. Though he commented that he’d never completely rule out the possibility, he said that at this time he’d rather invest any resources into Renault-Nissan’s existing brands and products.

Disappointing that Ghosn does not want to buy Volvo. I think Volvo would be a good fit with Renault and Nissan, and would help Renault to build more appealing large cars. Also with some creative platform sharing Volvo might get some rebadged and refreshed Infiniti's. The M45 would make a more compelling Volvo than Volvo's own hideous/outdated/bland new S80.
