VIDEO: E92 BMW M3 vs. E46 BMW M3 CSL

Bottom line is the new M3 is amazingly good to drive. But the CSL is much sharper to drive. BMW made the car easier to live with every day, and they need that if they want to sell a 100k. According to the CSL owner, the current M3 feels similar to the E39 M5. The CSL is much more hardcore.

So basically just wait for the next CSL.

I can't help but notice the FULL ROLL CAGE in the CSL. I could do that to a Neon and it'd be sharper to drive than the E92 M3. Bottom line is, nice video, but pointless comparison.

And you haven't driven a E39 M5, that obvious. I have never been 145 MPH in a Camry, but have in a M5, to compare the two is just automotive naivety.

the e46 m3 actually looks better than the e92 m3 in the picture above imo. next to the e46 m3, the e392 does look a bit bloated.

Hey Rice brains - I sold the M5 it and bought an E46 M3. Which I will sell again, probably trade it in on a E92 M3. And I'm really sorry you can't afford anything better than the Camery, and if it makes you feel better thinking it drives as good as any BMW, let alone an M5, then you go right ahead.
