Hottest new features and options on the 2005 Audi A8

The 2005 Audi A8 is pretty similar to the 2004 model with a few exceptions...

1. The new wood steering wheel option
2. Tiptronic paddle shifters are included when you order the new wood wheel option.
3. XM and Sirius radio are now options (not retro-fittable to 04 models)
4. Keyless go-like system (advanced key) now available

It is true, you must order the wood "three-spoke" steering wheel to get the paddle shifters. It also comes with a wood shifter knob as well.

Other new options include Active Cruise Control for about $2100 which is as close to an Auto-Pilot as cars get these days, Power Door Closers, "Bluetooth" technology, Advanced Key; similar to "keyless go" on an MB, and your choice of XM or Sirius SAT radio.

The shorter European version is now for sale in the US at an even lower price point

The W12 version adds even more power and equipment and is available now for ordering.

Not bad for just one model year! Next fall we'll see the addition of the S8 version built on the short wheelbase platform with even more power than the W12.
