Audi Posts a 7.1% Increase for August Sales
Audi of America, Inc. today announced sales for the month of August totaled 7,620 vehicles, an increase of 7.1% from last year’s figures. To date, Audi has sold 60,458 vehicles in 2007, a 10.8% increase over the previous year.

Several key markets recorded significant increases, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Atlanta.

Audi Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) sales are up for the year. Compared with last year’s figures, August CPO sales came to 2,352 units, an increase of 3.2%. To date, CPO sales for 2007 are tracking at 17,437, an increase of 3.8%.

If you actually look at the figures...It's THE Q7 AND TT. everything else actually dropped.

Actually, these figures don't tell the whole story.

Note that the new 2008 A5/S5 is not represented, because they are just now hitting showrooms. Early indications show that it will be a hit. One might predict that both A4 and A6 sales would dip as some would-be sedan buyers opt for the coupe, but actually the A4/S4/RS4 sales have been very solid. So what i read from this is that the Q7 is well received this year, the A5 will provide a big 2008 sales bump, and the all-new 2009 A4 will keep the upward trend going into 2009. Further out, a new A6 will be exciting to see. These are excellent sales results, thanks to a Audi's continuous product development, and i predict that the trend will continue.

By the way, though the LED is a styling differentiator, it seems most people appreciate the sumptuous Audi interiors above everything else.

benz sells a lot of cars in the US, you should be happy but then Lexus is coming on strong, are you scared they are going to take over?
