Confirmed: $1.6 million Lambo coming to Frankfurt
While Lamborghini’s president Stephan Winkelmann was speaking members of Bloomberg News at the Euro auto press today about the 25% increase in Lamborghinis brand for the first half of 2007, he confirmed the rumors we’ve been hearing about a limited edition super expensive car.

“I can confirm those rumors, but at this stage I will have to make you wait until the Franfurt Auto Show, where we will release more details…I can’t confirm the...

Woah, here comes Audi with the super-expensive Lambo to counter VW's Bugatti Veyron. Interesting sibling rivalries we have here.

It's not a competitor for the Veyron. This is just a prestige project. Pure class.

Duh..it is not competition for the Veyron, its a profit opportunity for the parent. It will be a slightly rebodied and rebadged Veyron to see if they can get some fat cats to buy more of them (with a diff name).

Veyron's haven't been flying off the shelves and the VW Group has all that 'tooling' to fund.

From what I have heard, this car will not be competing (performance wise) with the Veyron. It is going to be more of a collectors item (a lot of show: typical Lambo :D ) with very respectable go (but not Veyron like levels). Supposedly the only parts shared between this and the LP640 are the doors and wing mirrors. Everything else is said to be all new design! Inspiration for it came from the F22 fighter jet and there are all sorts of rumors about a "spectacular" treatment of the gauges and dash area...

I, for one, can't wait to see it!

680-700hp was the number that I heard. Its not a super huge increase over the 640hp in the LP640 but its not insignificant. Buyers of this level of car could easily afford a Bugatti as well, obviously this car will not be about all out performance. Instead it will be about typical Lamborghini insanity in design.
More of a dreamcar than a hypercar.

Another car for schoolboys to put up on their walls like the Countach in its heyday.

Hey don't knock those of us who had countach's on poster's on our walls.

I had a 5 foot long mounted poster of a red countach as well as a giant wall size poster of a white countach quattrovalle...the one with the wing in the front and the back.

Enzo will have nothing on this bad girl. Lambo is doing a great thing to man kind releasing this new car.Or just to the lucky among us who will own this bad thang. I for one would love to test drive it. Hmmm. Maybe one day...

Actually this is probably going to go up against Koenigsegg CCX along with those as well.

Does anyone know of any Pagani Zonda Dealers in the US, or places to buy one?

from what I've found, the Zonda isn't even an importable vehicle....not even for a show piece. Taking into account the Zonda is a fairly customizable vehicle, you could probably have the car disassembled and shipped in pieces.

If you look at www.dupontregistry.com you will see that Wyclef Jean owns a Zonda, But the house could be outside of the united states. I would love to bring the Brand to the US...hmmm maybe i will.
