Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong took delivery of the largest ever single-order of Rolls-Royces in history. These are 14 custom designed, longwheelbase Phantoms in Brewster Green (which Rolls now calls "Peninsula Green").

Even better yet, they could hand out free subway passes.

Agreed Lexus King. The LS600h is very clean and friendly towards the environment and yet it has the performance of a V16 (not a V12). You know, Lexus should give away LS600h's for free in order to get all other dirty cars off the road like an Audi A8 diesel or Benz S class. Lexus is the future when it comes to preserving the environment. In a few years this planet will be saved and still hospitable to us because of Lexus and Toyota.

The Penninsula in Beverly Hills seems to always have a number of Lexus LS cars in the driveway every time I go over there. I am sure as the 600h becomes available in bigger numbers that they will buy some.

The green Rolls Royce has been a key feature of Peninsula (Hong Kong) for a very long time. It looks like now they are starting to feature the cars in different cities. The decision to add two new Rolls Royce to their fleet was about tradition and therefore has nothing to do with Lexus

HA HA HA LexusKing , there you go again comparing an inferior product with a superior product. I'm no fan of RR as I prefer the style of the Arnage and especially the Brooklands Coupe but even I recognize that Lexus is not in the same league.

Hybrids are cleaner. Diesels cause cancer and they are slow and underpowered and they don't rev very high. The only diesel even worth mentioning is the Lexus IS220d and some Toyota diesels because they are good and last forever. No other diesels come close to the quality of Toyota and Lexus. You're a punk BenzW124!

david989 has never put the pedal to the metal in a diesel and experienced the phenomenal acceleration that a diesel's high torque can deliver. Gas engines are able to deliver more power only at higher RPM because they have less torque. I'll take a diesel any day for the fuel economy and long range between fill-ups on a road trip.

LMAO LexusQueens quote
"David989, please don't diminish and distract from my posts with your irrelevent banter. I thank you in advance."

Yeah David, because he is doing a great job of that himself.

Great History of using Rolls at the Peninsula...couldn't be any other car.

LS over a Phantom...I beg to differ on that one! When you see the new LS coming...you can say "Oh the new Lexus", when you see a Phantom coming...you (well I do) lose it like crazy! There is NOTHING like a Phantom, not even the 7-Series. The Phantom is it all the way. Just like their commercial says in Dupont Reg., people who are good at what they do deserve something special. This is it!!!

As a sidenote, I can't wait for the Rolls NGS (New Gen. Saloon) to come out. Maybe I can afford a 250k car rather than a 400k one?!?!
