Chrysler’s CEO: We’ve got some cars that need some tweaks

Chrysler is getting ready to invest into upgrading its current lineup to make them a strong competitor to their rivals.

abmed, Sevor thinks you are an American but I think you are from a country where most people don't have cars.. Anyway, my only comment is that I sincerely hope that the new 300 will not have cylinder deactivation without full disclosure about potential reliability issues if the thinnest of oils is not used to maintain the correct hydraulic flow for operating the cylinder deactivation system in the event of engine sludge for example. Chrysler and GM both offer engines with cylinder deactivation but neither of them has proven to my satisfaction that their system is totally fail-safe and that pistons will never be able to hit the valves under any circumstance. With response times ranging from 40 milliseconds to 240 milliseconds, that's a couple of RPMs at high revs.

SOME is a understatement. Since divorcing from Mercedes, Chrysler has to go through MAJOR tweaks. Some just wont cut it.
