FRANKFURT AUTO SHOW:  Ultra-compact Toyota IQ revealed
Toyota revealed its new ultra-compact concept, IQ, at the Frankfurt Motor Show today. As reported before Toyota is looking to launch a small urban car within in the next two years and the IQ is a concept study of that car.

The Toyota IQ was designed at ED2, Toyota’s European design studio in south France headed by Wahei Hirari, Toyota’s Design Managing Officer. With 3+1 seating, the IQ is 425mm shorter than the Aygo and 770mm shorter than the Toyota Yaris.

Other than the weird front (Pokemon is a good comparison), I think this car looks great. It's so much more difficult to style a small car, and I think Toyota did a great job with this. As much as I like the VW Up concept, this looks even better.

Ugly, bland and the side is a direct COPY of the Smart ForTwo. Typical Toyota!

The front is strange, but it's definitely an interesting design. Yes, it does look just like a slightly shortened Fortwo from the side, but the interior is very innovative in its simplicity- slightly Swedish (Volvo), actually.

Where does this leave the Aygo?
