2008 Lamborghini Reventon - $1.36 million each
The name is that of a famous Mexican bull that fought in the 1940s. The car, though, looks more like something from the year 2040. The Reventón, revealed at the Frankfurt auto show, is a radical, limited-production variant of the Lamborghini Murciélago LP640. Lamborghinis are not exactly automotive wallflowers to begin with, but “the Reventón is the most extreme of all,” enthuses Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann.

Outside, the car is sheathed in all-new bodywork and wears a special matte gray finish. With the exception of the steel roof and doors, all body panels are a carbon-fiber composite. Inside, the driver faces a bank of three LCD readouts in place of the standard gauge cluster. The driver can choose among various display modes for the speedometer and tachometer; in addition, a g-force meter relays acceleration, braking, and lateral forces. The cabin itself is trimmed in copious amounts of suede and carbon fiber.

Lamborghini has never been about class, thats what bugatti is for, Countach is the greatest example of L-ghini's finest. Ferrari is for the subtle finnessed stylish, Lamborghini is extravagant loud, and badass. The Reventon is the definition of Lamborghini, a little overpriced, but i'd still buy one.

You are spot on. Lamborghini are all about drama and passion. Not laptimes. That's why I don't get the Gallardo Superleggera...

Def a Lambo for the Abstract. I am sure it looks stunning in person, even the rear.

porshinator...i'd choose the reventon. nothing screams fear more than a lambo. the bugatti in styling jsut cant compare to the Reventon.

front end looks too much like the LF-A concept. I don't like it, especially not for $1.36 million.

For some reason I had connected the M5 board article (on the new M3) to you, although I knew it wasn't your car when I read it. The guy was talking about all the super-expensive cars he had owned, which made me take your comment seriously. LOL.

If I had $1+ millions to throw away like that, than I would get a Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari F430, Lexus LF-A, Aston Martin DBS, V8 Vantage, and CCX. And probably still have enough money to go on a shopping spree.

minimalist, but you don't that the point, what an idiot. Can't come up your own opinion instead just repeating what someone else had said.

mini, are you a parrot? you know what a parrot is right? it had two wing, some feather, and repeat what else said around them.

Lambo always has had funky styling over 'graceful' lines, I think its a crisp update to the usual 'creative' lambo line.

COME ONNNN... putting this car at 1.36 is just absurd. Even the Enzo debuted at half a mill, and there's no way that this can be as good in any aspect as that beast. I can see them charging half a mill for this, and seeing the price stay there (unlike the enzo) but this is just too much. (not saying the car isn't hot for a modded LP640, because it is, but too bad its JUST a modded LP640)

Well funny enough, the people that are the market for this car have spoken. So we don't need to debate wether its worth it or not because 20 people think so.

its not really about the price of the car, its more about what lamborghini thinks its worth. them putting it that high makes the impression that they believe its worth more than an enzo. i think its just disrespectful to the cars that are actually worth the big bucks. (i would elaborate further, but i think this ultra minimalist approach should be adequate on a website with such avid car enthusiasts--at least i would hope it is)

Why would you pay $1.4m for this Lambo with 650 when you can get the 1001 Veyron for the same money ?

This Lambo does look hot, just not $1.4m hot.
