Land Rover building BMW X6 rival

Land Rover has announced plans to launch a new sporty coupe-crossover smaller than its current Freelander/LR2 model to rival premium small SUVs like the upcoming Audi Q3. At a press conference held during the Frankfurt Motor Show, Land Rover’s design chief Gerry McGovern previewed several new renderings of the car.

uh, smaller than the LR2? The LR2 is Q3/X3 sized. How does this compete with an X6??!

Looks like a LR2 coupe in rendering.

And yes LR does need to address CO2 and mileage...They Range's should team up with MB for bluetec or Toyota for hybrid - something needs to be done...

Land rover should be a little ashamed. I just cant believe that bmw, who does not focus as much as land rover on suv or off-roading vehicles, can beat it.
