While Land Rover had nothing big show up at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the company did show a teaser of a long-rumored Landie. The Land Rover Landie is expected to be a low-priced crossover that will fit below the Freelander.

The concept version of the Land Rover Landie is expected to debut at the Detroit Auto Show, so we’ll have to wait a couple of months before we see the real thing. What we do know is that the Landie will be slotted beneath the Freelander with pricing in the £20k range.

If Land Rover can improve its reliability and electrical issues with its new and current line that will be a winner. LR still makes the best head/tail lights in the business :)

What? Since when are they making a crossover? I think that the off-road equipment should only be optional, but I still think they should use truck platforms!

Or maybe not, I don't know. But they definitely should not call it the "Landie." How about Range Rover Storm, as they are trying to re-name all of their cars Range Rover (Range Rover Sport, Range Rover County, etc)?
