Porsche has updated its Cayenne SUV with new technology, minor appearance changes and a hefty power upgrade for the 2008 model year. While the Cayenne is still offered with three engines — including a 290-hp 3.6-liter V6 and a 385-hp 4.8-liter V8 —anyone aspiring to master-of-the-universe status will skip the lower two and step right up to the Cayenne Turbo with its twin turbocharged and intercooled V8...

Sure it drives well, but the looks alone put me in an X5 4.8is.

This thing is an aesthetic abomination!

I'll pick the Cayenne Turbo anyday. Especially when it looks like this:

I love BMW and the X5, but the 4.8 0-60 makes this pretty bad ass, no?

I would choose the Range and the ML63 over the Cayenne Turbo.

This makes it look like the Range Rover Supercharged is standing still. The Rangie is quite slow for 400hp, but I guess I shouldn't expect much out of a 5600lb car.

You would have to be really stupid or filthy rich to buy this POS.As soon as you drive it off the lot(providing it makes it)you'll lose 50,000 large. If you have a fleet of cars(because it shouldn't be your only mode of transportation) I'm sure its a driving experience second to none, but its going to cost you.

I really like the Cayenne but its depreciation is truly mind blowing. Plus the fact that they don't lease very good. The X5 is so much better in every other area except speed it makes it hard to even consider the Porsche.

Unless you earn 50-100k a week playing Football and you will loose about 18-40k a week in Taxes anyway. then suddenly it makes perfect sense to own one of these.

I have many clients who have such imaginative ways of writing off their expenses or passing it of to Investors that these vehicles become very affordable to them.

I looked at an S but was taken aback when I realized that it road rough and wasn't that fast. An X5 handles just as good and actually is faster than the S. Plus the fact that the Touareg has a better interior. I decided on a Lexus GX470 because they simply are the best SUV's in the world. None of my neighbors have any idea I am driving an expensive 4 Runner!
