Tuner Cars: Edo Porsche 997 GT2 R based on the 911 GT2

Tuner Edo has updated their Edo 996 GT2 R with the latest version of the 911 GT2. Since the Edo 996 GT2 R was already modified in the areas of brakes, suspension, engine, transmission, aerodynamics, exhaust system, interior, wheels/tires and light-weight windows.

Edo has now added a new conversion kit made from ultra-light carbon fiber. The kit includes a new front skirt, radiator air inlets, brake cooling ducts, front fenders modified and widened, fender liners, mesh inserts front and rear, front lip spoiler in carbon fiber, modified fuel filler door, Litronic headlight kit.

umm..... 997 GT2 R?
The "R" stand for "RICE" for this RiceRocket.

Reasons:
1. Unnecessary body kit = adds addition weight.
2. Oversized rear spoiler = decrease areodynamics resulting decreased top speed.
3. Excessive scoops, gills, vents = non-functional.
4. Clear blinker lens = Only for looks.
5. Roll cage = adds unnecessary weight.

Unnecessary bodykit = Improved aerodynamics.
Oversized rear spoiler = Extra downforce on the back wheels.
Excessive scoops, gills, vents = Improved cooling air flow for more powerfull engine and brakes.
Roll cage = Safety feature when thrashing it on the Nurburgring.

The front fascia's design is derived from the 996-series GT3 RSR, which the dive planes are very much functional as well as the different vents. Even the vent in front of the trunk is functional.

And rice is a term used from Asian vehicles. I do not know many German recipes consisting of 'rice'. Sauerkraut may be fitting.
