Bugatti Veyron Pur Sang - sold out in less than 24 hours

Bugatti’s latest version of their all-conquering Veyron supercar has sold out in less than 24 hours. Called the “Pur Sang” it is the regular Veyron stripped of paint and I have to say that it looks better without the colour.

It looks great.

Is it 220lbs lighter just becuase it has no paint, or was anything else done to this car to make it weigh less? I may be wrong, but 220lbs sounds like a lot of paint. If paint really does weigh that much, why don't others, like Porsche and Ferrari, go paintless on their track focused cars?
