The new Ford GT is at the top of my list. To achieve such incredible performance worthy of supercar status for the price that beats its competition with a club is something that is not to go without note. And in the short time the engineers had to produce it, it’s amazing how well it really performs, totally pulling off the “stick it to ‘em” affect. Well-done Ford. I also love the classic lines and style of the car. Beautiful in every light, at every angle.

As for the runners up… the new SLK looks amazing in person, I saw one for the first time yesterday. I can only imagine that the SLR looks even more impressive.

Also:

Audi A6- I like the new grill, regardless of how many people think I’m silly
Corvette- Finally a step up in quality for one of the American legends
Bentley Continental- out of this world looks and price for a Bently! The long hoods always do it for me!
Porsche 997- wonderful new headlights and a new feel to the interior. Great job Porsche!

Jon

My pick is definitely the Porsche 997. Nice exterior and interior changes, and most important.. driving precision and confort.

Ford GT ..NO, a redo, not very creative

Corvette .. NO, no wannabes please

Cadillac STS ..NO, uniform family design but still ugly (and what is up with the girly looking guy in the commercial with the grandma sunglasses ???)

MB SLK350 .. Ok, but nothing special

Mercedes SLR .. Awesome car, but hardly mainstream, let's keep it within atmospheric levels people!

Aston DB9 .. maybe if this were England

Bentley .. See MB SLR

Ferrari .. is this name loosing its cache? blame it on Schumi!

Maserati Quattroporte .. if it were only all original parts!!!

Lotus Elise .. reminds me of some characters from Starship Troopers! Ugly! Lets wait for the new ESPRIT!

Audi A6 .. bold design, mainstream, benchmark in interior and exterior finish and materials, Control Center actually works well (unlike, well...you know who), much better handling and performance, resale value is improving, as is with the A8. Design is modern and sporty, not radical just for the sake of being different! Plus, the benchmark for all those new AWD sedans, wagons, cross overs coming to the market!

Lux Sedan: Audi A6, MB CLS
SUV: Audi Q7=best sport midsize(so its not an 05), infinity FX45=best compact sport, Touareg W12=new best all-arounder (Does Land Rover still think people will overpay for an SUV just because they ran snooty commercials on TV?.. is there really a place for Royalty in the 21st Century? )
Compact Lux: A3 Sportback
Large SUV: Infiniti Q56
Exotic: Murcielago, unless of course Audi makes the Le Mans Concept a reality... and lets not forget the Bugatti Veyron (has it been delayed again?)
