BMW Releases Official Perfomace Parts

BMW USA has released a new line of official performance parts in an attempt to grab a piece of the aftermarket action. Among other things, BMW’s list includes cross drilled brake rotors, an engine kit for the 330i that gives an extra 10 Hp, a quick gear shift kit and a sport suspension package. Initially, the performance components will be available for all 3 Series variants and the Z4 Roadster and Coupe models.

the danger with this move is that questions will be raised regarding the true intentions of BMW to sell the very best production car. That is to say, will they use lesser performing hardware in their production models so people will have to pay up more for the "higher" performance "aftermarket" parts?

I guess that would be one way to increase profit, perhaps scared of Audi's sales and profit margin rapid increase.

Wow, that picture of the 335i looks AMAZING.

Why do the 335i, A5/S5 and G37 all have to be so good? It makes it too hard to choose.

i drove a 335i coupe its insane. i was very impressed and i have a 2005 e46 m3.

i really dont know if i should get a 335xi coupe ( i live in ny and it does snow a few weeks a year ) or the next M3 which i do love the appearance although it doesnt seem much faster than the 335i.
i would get a g37 but i am a badge whore and cant get an infiniti even if i do love them :)
