Spy Shots: 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi caught in Japan
New images of the 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi have popped up on the web. This time in white, the car was caught in its home town of Japan.

The next-generation Subrau Impreza is expected to be powered by a 2.5 liter 4-cylinder turbo engine producing up to 300 horsepower. The car is expected to have a 0-62mph time of 4.5 seconds.

Subaru, get rid of those white or clear tail-light lenses. That sort of design shit, along with chrome tail light surounds, is strictly for el-cheapo cars. Subaru should know better and use proper red tail light lenses. I am not too upset because the only Subaru on my shopping list is the Tribeca.

Soooo... we're talking 4.4 0-60 w/ the same 300hp, or about 1/2 second off the last one. So I assume this 2.5L 4 cylinder turbo will have, what, 350lb/ft of torque or a redline of about 10K rpm? That would be about the toughest 4 cylinder I've ever seen. I highly doubt it. Still I'm sure it will be quite a beast. Upper 4's, maybe?
